Extreme Weather Cancellations

If games are cancelled due to extreme weather then SANDY will post a message on their home page.

Please note that, even in very wet weather, the 8.15am round on Saturday morning may not be cancelled until the last minute.

Following are the Wet Weather Guidelines taken from the SANDY website.

EXTREME WEATHER CANCELLATIONS:

In the event of extreme weather where it is necessary to cancel all or most of a day's matches you may check to see if your timeslot is playing by either ringing Admin office on 0450 669 455 or checking on this website. If a timeslot is cancelled early it will be on this site 1 hour ahead of the match time. Under these circumstances teams are not required to report to the courts to sign scoresheets.

In all other circumstances teams are required to report to the courts on wet weather days. Unless weather is extreme matches are usually cancelled time slot by time slot. On these days a minimum of 5 players must be present at the courts ready to play. These 5 players will be recorded on the scoresheet as being present by the umpires officiating for that match. If both teams have 5 or more players present then each team will be awarded 2 points.

If one team does not have 5 or more players present then the 4 points will be awarded to the team who does have 5 or more players recorded as attending on the day.
